Context

Day 15 November reopened the Firefighter’s Tower that was closed for the public in the last decade. With a different story for each of the eight floors, the project brought back the light to the Tower and reopened it for the public, who could again enjoy the panorama of the city visible from the upper floor of the tower.

Day 15 is a recurring cultural event that took place monthly, durring the year 2015, aiming to bring the untapped potential of the public spaces by activating them throughout temporary material and immaterial experiences, which turned into landmarks of the city. Day 15 not only spoke of space, it argued upon what we consider as being the most important role of architecture: it generated human relationships, coagulated social and community activities and materialized them into tangible and relatable results.
