Jitka Ressová

Jitka Ressová (1970, Zlín) graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering (1993) and Faculty of Architecture (1999) Brno University of Technology.

Jitka Ressová (1970, Zlín) graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering (1993) and Faculty of Architecture (1999) Brno University of Technology. She acquired her PhD on Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague. In 2002 she co-founded studio for architecture and design, element. Between years 1999 and 2011 she worked in Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague as an assistant in Studio of Product Design, between years 2006 and 2011 she was head of the Department of Design in Zlín. Her significant works as an author and co-author are: entrance of the company Sporten in Nové Město na Moravě (2001-2002), reconstruction of the village common in Bedřichovice (2013-2015), the Gahura’s Prospect revitalization (competition 2011, realization 2013), reconstruction of the pharmacy “U Anděla strážce” in Litomyšl (2013-2014), reconstruction of Bata house in Zlín, Borová (2011-2014). The Gahura’s Prospect Revitalization has been nominated for Mies van der Rohe Award 2015. She cooperated on the book The Baťa Home: Zlín’s Vanishing Architectural Elements (2017).
