Cristina graduated from the Architecture school in Bucharest in 2005 and completed her PhD in Architecture at UAUIM in 2012

Cristina graduated from the Architecture school in Bucharest in 2005 and completed her PhD in Architecture at UAUIM in 2012. Since 2007 she is a founding member and partner of ABRUPTARHITECTURA, an architectural practice focused on the topic of the domestic topos and finding familiarity in the built context. Many ABRUPTARHITECTURA projects have been recognized and awarded on the occasion of national and international architecture events: Mies van der Rohe Finalist Award in 2013, Challenge of the Time Award – Iakov Chernikhov International Prize for Young Architectsnomination in 2012, and have received the award of various contest sections at the Bucharest National Architecture Biennale 2012, The 2011 Annual Architecture in Bucharest and the National Order of Architects in Prahova Awards 2001-2012. At the same time, she has been teaching at UAUIM since 2005 in the design studio in Bucharest and Sibiu, being concerned about an education that encourages a well suited approach of the given context that architecture works with.
