Prodromos Nikiforidis is born in Heraklion in Crete. He completed his studies at the School of Architecture in Toulouse and continued his postgraduate studies in the History of Cultures at the University of Toulouse – Le Mirail and in the Urban Planning in Sorbonne.

In 1986 Prodromos Nikiforidis and Bernard Cuomo started their common career participating in many architectural competitions. In their most notable projects they include a Residential Building in Paris, the Cultural Center and Theatre in Menemeni, the Technopolis Building in Thessaloniki, the building of the Treasury of the Bank of Greece in Thessaloniki and the New Waterfront of Thessaloniki.

In 2009 they were awarded by the Greek Institute of Architecture for their architectural work during 2004-2008. In 2014, they received the UIA -International Union of Architects- prize friendly spaces accessible, for the redevelopment of the New Waterfront of Thessaloniki. In 2015 they were in the 40 finalist for the European Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award. They also received the Archmarathon Award 2015, in 2016 the prize East Centric Award in the Triennale of Architecture in Bucharest and the Yan Ye Urban Design Award in Nanjing in China.

They have participated in numerous congresses and exhibitions.
